Steed's Service and Reprographics provides service and sales of Blueprinting Equipment. Our customers are Architects, Engineers, Manufacturers, Consulting Firms, Building Contractors, Municipal Facilities, and anyone needing Drafting Equipment and Supplies, Blueprint Equipment and Copiers repaired, and supplies for each.

Our History

Steed’s Service Company was founded in 1981 by Dale Steed to provide service and sales of Blueprinting Equipment. Our customers are Architects, Engineers, Manufacturers, Consulting Firms, Building Contractors, Municipal Facilities, and anyone needing Drafting Equipment and Supplies, Blueprint Equipment and Copiers repaired, and supplies for each.

In 1986 we were trained by Xerox Corporation to service their model 2510 Wide format Copier that provided the first low cost Wide Format low production copier.

In 1989 we became the first dealer in North Carolina for Dietzgen Corporation selling and servicing their Wide Format Copiers that are capable of black and white copies up to 36” wide by 20’ long.

In 1998 Steed’s Service Company, Inc. became a dealer for KIP America Wide Format Copiers. KIP America provides a complete line of Analog and Digital Printer/Plotters, further expanding our Copy Machine Line of Equipment.

In 2000 with our Business growing and services expanding, Steed’s Service Co., Inc. moved into a new 5,500 square foot building at 109 Pineywood Street, Thomasville, NC 27360.

In 2002 SSC Inc. became an HP Plotter/Printer Reseller and also Canon Plotter Reseller. Steed’s Service Company, Inc. offers full services in Reprographics. Digital files, graphic files and/or plots can be received by E-mail, Posted on our FTP Site, CD, ZIP Disk or floppy disk and printed out to hard copy. Hard copies can also be scanned to digital files and stored on CD’s, ZIP Disk, and Floppy Disk or sent by E-mail to the customer’s location. SSCI provides machine repair and sales, with supplies. Steed’s Service Company, Inc. can handle the complete printing and supply needs for everyday general business to complete document support services for the AEC (Architectural, Engineering and Construction) Industry.

In 2005 Al Gibson became an equal partner with Dale Steed. Dale and Al have a combined 80 years in the reprographics industry. We also changed our name to Steed’s Service & Reprographics to better define that we are not only a service company but we do offer a full line of printing and imaging services. We added mounting, laminating and color print capacity up to 60” wide.

In 2007 we became part of the RSA (Reprographic Services Association). This affiliation has allowed us to grow in the digital file transfer area by allowing us to print files at any of over 200 locations in the United States and Canada. We have also shortened the learning curve on new technologies and bring them to our market place quicker and more cost effectively.

In 2008 we acquired Reprotech Graphics in Winston Salem, NC giving us our second location and allowing us to service our customers more efficiently in the Triad area. We also added wide format solvent based color printing to allow us to serve the needs for outdoor graphics for banners, window film, vehicle wraps and templates. We also designed, built and implemented our own wide area network to allow seamless operations between both stores.

In 2010 we opened our third location in Charlotte, NC, this is a full service office. We were also awarded the certification of Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Dale, we all thank you for your service to our country and your continued passion for our industry.

2011, we will be moving into our new Charlotte location in April to better serve our growing client base.
